What advocates do:

Post Online

Giving Day Advocates create online posts that inspire excitement and urgency to encourage more donors to give. Share a personal story or a compelling reason why this cause matters to you, and highlight the impact donations will have. Use engaging visuals, donor testimonials, and clear calls to action, such as “Join me in making a difference—every gift counts!” or “Only a few hours left to give—let’s make this Giving Day unforgettable!”

Reach out to 10 people

All advocates should identify at least 10 contacts in advance of the campaign.

Those should include

  • Coworkers past and present
  • Family - immediate and extended
  • Friends
  • Alumni that you know
  • Community members and leaders
Make your plan of who you’ll be reaching to, how you’ll contact them, and what your relationship is with them, and share it with the campaign leaders so they can make sure there's no duplicates from other people.

Share your link

Your unique link is sent to you after you sign up to be an advocate, be sure to save that unique link. This unique link allows us to track gifts you bring in and may earn you prizes!

Even if someone gives to another campaign or to multiple campaigns, if they access the website from your link, it will count toward your totals.
