The College of Education and Allied Studies creates an inclusive and equitable learning environment through a liberatory lens. Our goal is to help students understand how power, privilege, oppression, and cultural assets operate in society and in the classroom, and develop the skills and strategies to become agents of change in their own communities and schools. By doing so, the college aims to create more just and equitable systems in our disciplines that honor and build upon the cultural and linguistic assets of its students and families.
