Donations are applied to...
Your donations can help provide workshops, training and professional connections for students in the SLP. Donors help to provide scholarship funds for our student participants and can help expand their skills, knowledge and understanding of complex challenges and unique solutions to build a more sustainable and environmentally just world!
Why are donations necessary?
We tailored the SLP to fit Cal State East Bay’s highly motivated local students who are historically under-represented in the sustainability and environmental fields. The program benefits from Cal State East Bay’s faculty who are committed to sharing their strong and broad expertise with our students. The result is a thoughtfully crafted program designed to encourage low-income and first-generation college students to apply and complete their studies by providing access to critical funds to support their education. The program also connects students with seasoned sustainability and environmental justice professionals through meaningful internships and experiences. Today, the SLP is proving to be a valuable regional asset, helping to build leadership pathways for a robust sustainability and environmental sector that represents the Bay Area’s diversity.
